Shye Robinson is a senior from Fort Wayne, IN. Since arriving to Purdue, Shye has been involved in a plethora of political organizations on campus. She decided to get involved with Purdue Student Government last year, and since, has been passionate about advocating for students needs and supporting them in the ways that she can this year as President.
She has experience as a Dean’s Ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts and is a member of the Center for C-SPAN Scholarships and Engagement (CCSE) Student Community! She also has entrepreneurial endeavors; Shye, alongside a few other Boilermakers, started a nonprofit organization called Roundtable Politics where they empower college-aged students to break the political divide and talk with people they disagree with. In December, she started a podcast called Shye's Not Shy and has continued to make episodes that take her creativity and teaching skills to another level. Shye went on a Maymester program called Boilers Go to D.C. and since her return, has been excited about her future prospects in pursuing work that improves the living conditions of Americans.
Overall, she is a well-distinguished student who prioritizes her academics and passions, and is looking forward to using her role to develop relationships with the administration, faculty, and fellow peers at this university.
