Mamie Johnson

Mamie Johnson is a senior studying Chemical Engineering from Montgomery, AL.


Currently, Mamie serves as the President of the Epsilon Rho chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Vice President of Operations for the National Pan-Hellenic Council, as a College of Engineering Ambassador, volunteers with the Minority Engineering Program, and is on the Finance Committee for the Barbara Cook chapter of Mortar Board. She also holds memberships within the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, and Omega Chi Epsilon.


In past years, Mamie has worked on a Carbon Sequestration research project within the Chemical Engineering Department, served at the chapter and regional level for the National Society of Black Engineers, served at the chapter level for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and volunteered with the Women in Engineering Program.


After graduation, Mamie hopes to work as an entry-level chemical engineer.
