AMAREAH BEAD

(she/her/hers)

Major: Civil Engineering

Amareah is from Annapolis, Maryland pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.

 

On campus, she is the President of the founding chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, along with serving as a volunteer tour guide through the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation. She additionally is a Dean's Leadership Scholar for the College of Engineering, and previously served as a Civil Engineering Ambassador. She completed an undergraduate research project in Velay Research Group developing more sustainable concrete.

 

After graduation, Amareah will return to Purdue for her Master's in Civil Engineering, then plans to work in the bridge engineering field.
