LILY WATERMAN

(She/Her/Hers)

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Lily is from Wayne, New Jersey, and is pursuing both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering.

 

In addition to serving on the Mortar Board Service Committee, she is the Vice President of RIISE (Reinventing the Interface of Inclusivity, Sports, and Engineering), an organization dedicated to advancing inclusivity through adaptive sports and sports engineering innovation. Lily is also an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Industrial and Molecular Pharmaceutics Department, working in the Laboratory for Therapeutic Particle Engineering under Dr. Yeo, where her research focuses on nanoparticle design for targeted cancer drug delivery. Previously, Lily served as a DRC Mentor, the Academic Chair of Kappa Delta, and completed a co-op and part-time work at AstraZeneca as a Process Engineer.

 

After graduating this December with her Bachelor’s degree, she will complete her Master’s in May and plans to pursue a career in the MedTech or pharmaceutical industry, contributing to the development of life-improving technologies.
