Minor: Crop Science
Lucas is from Portland, Indiana seeking a major in Agricultural Education. Additionally, he is complimenting his degree with a minor in Crop Science.
Outside of his involvement in the Leadership Committee of the Barbara Cook Chapter of Mortar Board, he is also a member of Purdue Foundation Student Board where he serves on their Values Board. Additionally, Lucas is an Agricultural Sciences Education and Communications (ASEC) Department Ambassador, Collegiate Farm Bureau Member, AGR 290 Teaching Assistant, and Office of Admissions Call Center Ambassador. In the past, he served on the Purdue Grand Prix Race 66 & 67 Junior Board, and as the PFSB Vice-President of Philanthropy and IAAE-Purdue President. While staying involved, Lucas is the intern for The National Council for Agricultural Education.
In the future, Lucas hopes to enter a high school classroom and pursue an agricultural teaching career. He also hopes to land a job near home so he can return back to his family's row crop farm and manage the operations while teaching agriculture.
